The Indian Wells Valley and Searles Valley watershed is identified by U.S. Geological Survey Hydrologic Unite Code (HUC) 18090205. California Department of Water Resources Bulletin 118-80 identifies the Indian Wells Valley Groundwater Basin as Basin Number 6-54. These codes can be used to identify the Indian Wells Valley groundwater basin when accessing many government and private web sites.
